Setting and Finishing

The setting and finishing of your house is what we feel makes the difference when it comes to Ambient's pre-engineered homes. Ambient Homes is a division of DeLeers Construction, an experienced, reputable general contractor in Northeast Wisconsin for over sixty years. This gives us access to a specialized setting and finishing crew, ensuring that your home is stable, secure and properly sealed.

Once all permits have been obtained, the lot is cleared, and the foundation is fully installed, a pre-site inspection will take place. If everything meets inspection standards, your pre-engineered home will be put into production and within 4-6 weeks it will be complete and delivered to your site. We prefer the site preparation and the construction of your home occur as simultaneously as possible to further speed the process.

On the day of the set, a crane operator lifts and places each section or module onto the foundation with the assistance of our skilled set-crew. The home is then securely fastened to the foundation and made weather-tight. The set process takes roughly 1-3 days, depending on the size and/or style of your pre-engineered home.

After setting, the final completion time can range from 4 days for a simple design to up to 6 weeks for a more complex, highly customized home. The amount of custom trim and woodworking, custom cabinets, type of counter tops and hardwood floors can all increase the length of the finishing time. Walks, driveways, porches, decks and landscaping can be completed during the construction process.
